Back in 1756, trains did not run yet, there were no telephones or light bulbs. But at that time, beer was already being widely produced in the Apatin brewery. That year, the Apatin Brewery was established as the IMPERIAL BREWERY because the Imperial Chamber built the brewery on the model of European breweries. Modern technology has enabled the production of malt beer from the very beginning, which has contributed to the development of the brewery and its rapid transformation into an industrial company. There are records that at that time it produced about 12,000 hectoliters of beer per year. Large investments occur at the end of the 19th century when it is privatized. In the 1970s, high-circulation automated lines were introduced, which further contributed to the growth of production.

In June 2012 Apatin Brewery becomes a part of one of the largest global brewing companies Molson Coors, as part of the Molson Coors Europe Group. Molson Coors Europe is seated in Prague, and operates on the markets of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Montenegro, Romania and Slovakia. Molson Coors brands include: Jelen Pivo, Nikšićko Pivo, Borsodi, Bergenbier, Ožujsko Pivo, Kamenitza and many more.

And another interesting fact, Apatin Brewery is the oldest brewery that operates within MC.

Products: Our National Champion Brands are Jelen in Serbia, and we can proudly say it is the most famous beer brand on the market. It is Serbian Iconic beer with recognizable bitterness. It is a synonym for tradition and masculinity, as well as a huge fan of football and music and a great supporter of Serbian Paralympic team.The other most famous beer brands:  Jelen Chill, Jelen Cool, Jelen fresh, Apatinsko, Staropramen, Nikšićko i Nikšićko Tamno, Kvaster, WAI  hard seltzer.
