Association is a brave child of leading investor, Erker Inženjering and marketing agency, Aspect Communication. One of the main reasons for establishing the Association was the desire to raise awareness on the high importance of green infrastructure in the process of city development, and perhaps even more, to inspire the Municipal Administration, Investors, and residents to rethink their approach, both professionally and as individuals, to create a more humane way of urban life in the future.The guiding principle, therefore, is to bring people and nature closer together.

The National Green Roof Association Serbia was founded in May 2018 and became a member of the EFB – European Federation of Green Roof Associations. It are focused on bringing the knowledge and experiences from other European cities to the cities of the Balkan region. From using and highlighting new Software solutions which can help evaluate the importance of nature in the cities, such as GreenPass, up to bringing new green infrastructure implementations, Association acts as an important  link between different stakeholders and groups.
