Development of startup centers and science and technology parks, education of young staff members at modern faculties that provide the necessary infrastructure, knowledge, and materials for work, are the key advantages of Serbia, which through the implementation of the dual education model since 2016 creates trained staff who will be able to answers modern needs of the economy of the 21st century, said Mirjana Kovacevic, Head of the Center for Education, Dual Education and Educational Policies of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and director of the Business Academy of the CCIS.
At the World Exhibition, Serbian companies are presented with exceptional knowledge and experience that can meet the needs of the modern economy, Kovacevic said after the panel “Education and Development of Entrepreneurial Eco-System” held at the Pavilion of the international logistics corporation “DP World” within Expo 2020 Dubai.
“We have invited companies and educational institutions around the world to cooperate, exchange experience and knowledge. We presented the dual model of education in high schools and faculties in Serbia and invited all interested young foreign students to find ways and opportunities to study in our country, “said Kovacevic.
At the 4th thematic week in Dubai, the state-economic delegation of Serbia presented innovative educational and didactic materials, various software solutions as well as open interactive platforms, online tools, and equipment for solving problems and challenges in business.
With the aim of attracting new investments, projects, and cooperation with international startup centers and scientific and educational institutions, Dr. Milan Randjelovic, Director of the Science and Technology Park Nis, presented Nis NTP at the panel, which is seen in professional circles as an example of good practice. “So far, we have learned from others, we will continue to learn, but it is good that we have learned that other ecosystems in the world can learn from our experience today. At the global conference, we presented the successful results of the state in the development of digitalization and science and technology parks, “said Randjelovic.
Representatives of 60 companies, scientific and educational institutions and institutions, science and technology parks, and innovation centers will have numerous B2B meetings in the coming days in the CCIS Business Hub with representatives of companies from countries participating in the Expo, and participate in professional forums and conferences.
